ICNA Executive Board Attends National Meeting

Executive board members recently attended the Michigan Association of Hostage Negotiators annual conference as well as the National Council of Negotiators' Association meeting held at the beautiful Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Traverse City, Michigan
Board members from associations around the country including Texas, Florida, Kansas, California, New England, Western States, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, and the FBI were in attendance and gave a "state of the association" address. Other items regarding relevant topics specific to hostage negotiations were discussed including the status of ICNA's website which has become the benchmark for other associations.
The annual meeting and Michigan conference were very beneficial and was a learning experience which will allow us to continue the improvements of our own conference and training seminar.
Next years National Council of Negotiators Associations meeting will be held in Louisiana and hosted by the Louisiana Association of Crisis Negotiators.
